I don't get too excited about too many movies these days mostly because of the hype and ultimate let down when I get to see them, but this movie lives up to the hype. Not only was it beautifully shot in my home town Chicago, but the action and riveting scenes kept me very entertained. I enjoyed all the bat gear and innovative stunts, and the quick sequences and wonderful cinematography. Christian Bale (Batman) didn’t overplay his role. He was perfect. And, of course, the Joker was played sadistically well by Heath Ledger. Further, the supporting players were also pretty good. Only criticism I have is the rating. This movie is not good for kids under 12. It’s way too dark and girls especially will get nightmares from the Joker scenes and the blunt violence. Great for teenagers though. I will probably see it again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
