Though the nonstop action was amazing, the story line is what kept the movie going. The fact that there was action and plot, and that there were always parts to keep you guessing, made this an incredible movie. The makeup was unbelievable (especially on Harvey Dent....as Two Face). Heath Ledger was AMAZING and should be recognized for his incredible performance, it is only sad that he can't be around to receive it. I will also say, that it was a toss up between Michael Keaton and Christian Bale for the best Batman, and I have now been persuaded that it is Christian Bale (sorry Mr. Keaton!).

As in any comic gone to big screen movie the plot leaves much to be desired, however, plot is not the reason we flock to see these movies. The stunts and special effects performed in this movie are absolutely amazing.

Braveheart is my most favorite film of all time. But "The Dark Knight" to me, is the best film ever made due to its cinematography, the mental battle that was geniuosly played out between the Joker and the Caped-crusader.

Heath Ledger's performance MADE this movie. Never-ending drama and action 100%. I was speechless for 15 minutes after the movie. Finally someone made a Batman movie that perfectly portrayed every character and essence that makes up the hero we've grown up knowing. Christopher Nolan is a genius and by far the greatest man in Hollywood right now. He finally gave us justice and gave us a real Batman movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed tis movie. I read a comment by jack Nicholson and I will say this.. you would have never been able to pull this off. You were an excellent "Joker", loved you in the old ones but Heath took took it to a new level, may he RIP.. Te directors took this batman to a different level.... It is not the batman we grew up with but more of the drama that is happening now in our times. The special effects were excellent and the writing was comical, cynical and funny. I can't wait for the follow up.

The Dark Knight picks up the story from where Batman Begains ended. For those who know a liitle about the characters, the story shows how they became who they are. It is a gripping tale that will have you wondering what will be next. I would recomend it to even the non Batman fan. It is a movie to see again and again. Excellent

This is the best of the Batman movies. Christian Bale provides pensive "looks". Heath Ledger is particularly creepy and is a terrific villain without any conscious whatsoever. Gary Oldman (for once) is not creepy at all and delivers his lines without a trace of his British accent. With a lot of dark night scenes, this movie provides an eerie backdrop to some wonderful performances. Great fun!

This movie lives up to its hype. The actors are all stellar, and this movie is the best superhero movie ever! However, it is quite dark and definitely NOT for young children. That PG-13 rating is spot on. I know everyone keeps saying Heath Ledger, Heath Ledger, Heath Ledger, and he is fantastic, but every actor in the movie provides a stellar performance. Go see it then see it again!

While the Dark Knight was a terrific movie in it's genre, it was Gary Oldman's terrific portrayal of the relatively nondescript detective Jim Gordon that knocked me out. Following his career over the years has only made me more appreciative of the craft exhibited in this blockbuster. A seamless characterization and performance. Heath Ledger was also spectacular, but in a way that contrasted with what Oldman offered. The Joker had to explain his backstory, but Jim Gordon was complete in his persona.

I saw this movie and I thought it was much better than Batman Begins. I think all of the actors performed well, especially the late Heath Ledger.
My only negate is that it could have been a bit shorter. It could have been 2 hours and been just as good.
Still overall excellent movie!!!

Went to see the Dark Knight on Friday!! It was great but a little too violent in the first half. I definitely would not take kids to see it. Heath did and amazing job at playing the joker but I think Christian Bale took the title as best batman ever in this film. He was definitely the oustanding character in this film. A plus to is that every single actor/actress in this film did an excellent job!! No one let the movie down! Definitely must see in a theater to really appreciate all the effects!!

The Dark Knight was everything people have been saying. It was big, it was beautiful, and yes, definitely worth every penny. The characters are engaging, and the late Heath Ledger's Joker is one of the best villains I've seen in a long time. The action sequences are phenomenal, with the suspense and twists of the plot helping the entire story progress to the point where I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat.. literally!
Possibly the best movie of the summer, if not the entire year.
