This was a thrilling, well-acted movie. Christian Bale makes an incredible Batman and Heath Ledger was awesome. Deserves an academy award for this!

I really enjoyed this Batman movie. It was probably one of the best batman movies. It has a lot of twists and was very suspenseful. It also had a really good story line. It made me almost cry. There is something for everyone. Heath did such a awesome job portraying the joker.

I absolutely loved "Dark Knight." It was pretty flawless in my opinion. The acting was superb...Heath Ledger's Joker was without a doubt just spectacular. He created one of the most interesting characters I've seen on screen in a very long time. The whole movie was superb and I will definitely be seeing it more than once in the theatre!

The movie was action packed.. Awesome graphics. Heath Ledger did a fabulous performace.. best of his time if I don't say so myself! Too bad he passed. The movie was a little dark, I wouldn't recommend it for the little ones. I would pay to go see it again.

To see this movie and know that it is one of Heath Ledger's last roles...he entirely fascinated me and the audience at the movie and was superb as one of the most warped villains in any or all the comic book movies to date...this isn't to say the rest of the cast was subpar or good, as they were stupendous also. An incredible movie not just a child comic book brought to the screen any longer but a new twist on the Batman series.
I will go again and I will enjoy it again.

The Batman franchise is in full effect. After almost drowning out amidst all the competition; DC/Batman delivers AGAIN... AND BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL.
The movie is quite long (2hrs and 30 min) but they fly by. All the subplots and interweaving characters are done so organically and focused and with a resolution. the effects are amazing, the performances top notch and this makes the "perfect" movie. Movie of the summer and year...so far.
Although in his first scene I found it difficult to concentrate on his performance (let alone the fact that he's deceased but also all the buzz makes you concentrate too hard) his performance is so fearless that you end up being quite terrified at the character and mesmerized by the actor/performace. Whenever a movie and/or actor gets too much universal praise I get nervous that they might overkill it for me. They didn't. Heath Ledger is/was a genius. This movie made him one of the greats that never reached his peak. RIP. He IS and forever will be the Joker from now on. the Academy better wise up and give it too him.

great film, I really think Christian Bale was a great choice for the "new" Batman. As far as Heath Ledger as the Joker, well Jack Nicholson is a tough act to follow & he impressed the hell out of me, its a shame he's dead cause I would have loved to see him in the next installment....

My wife and I went to the midnight showing of The Dark Knight and left a two and a half hour movie wide awake! This movie was intense all around. Funny when it should have been (although, the humor is very dark, so it's right up my alley), dramatic at the right moments, and action during and in between. The length of this movie wasn't really noticed by me at all (and being a smoker that's saying something!) and when it finally ended all I really wanted was more. The comic book purists will have a lot to say, negatively, about this movie, the story doesn't follow the comics exactly. But I would recommend this to anyone I talked to and remind them that it is a movie, not a comic book. Sometimes the comics put a little too much into one book and when you try to that on screen then you end up with "Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin". No one wants that again!
The entire cast was wonderful. And the rumors of Heath Ledger getting a posthumous Oscar? Well, anyone who sees this movie will tell you that he deserves an Oscar for that performance! I think regardless of his death (R.I.P.) he would have been nominated at the very least. He really showed his acting abilities with this role, and gave me a new respect for him. He certainly would have climbed out of the teen films for greater things due to this movie.
Everyone should treat themselves to this movie, it was fantastic! One of the most "believable" comic book movies made so far! No superpowers, just money and brains, and a hatred for crime lords buying their way through the justice system. The hero we all wish we could be.

Riveting and seemed short even at 2 1/2 hours. Certainly best, by far, of all the Batman series. Exercise caution however with young children.

Great escape with redeeming outcomes that are not predictable. Recommend acting and character development as well as special effects. Batman sidekicks are memorable and well worth a second viewing to pick up on nuance and subplots.
