I had seen parts of the first Hulk movie and thought it tremendously stupid. I was hesitant about this one, but it had Edward Norton and Liv Tyler in it, so I relented and saw it. Surprisingly (or not), it was great! (As most comic book movies have been in the last few months)
The plot is simple but the actors do a great job at keeping up the pace and making the movie entertaining. Norton as the Hulk adds that human element to the character that Bana couldn't pull off. His transformations really leave you feeling for the poor guy who doesn't want so much power. The Abomination's transformation is fun to watch as well.
I would definitely recommend this movie. Not an oscar-worthy, deep drama type movie, but it is fun to watch and worth the money.

Although this was an action packed fun adventure, I was hoping for at least one unexpected twist or turn. Although it is definately worth watching, with the high cost of movie tickets/concessions - I recommend waiting for it to come out on DVD. For those of us who grew up reading The Hulk, it is the same story line but with great special effects.

Although some parts of the movie were a little ridiculous. I would have to say that this movie succeeded where the last movie did not. It kept you interested through the entire movie and was not slow at all. The action sequences were very entertaining and didn't seem long and boring like the last one. Ed Norton played a great David banner, Liv Tyler played a decent Betty Ross. The CGI animation was flawless and not too fast like transformers. Go see it.

It was exactly the movie it set out to be. Not horrible but not Ironman either. Nothing mind blowing here.
Ed gives a good performance but he should stick to non-action flicks. He's much better at them. Liv Tyler without elf ears was refreshing but she needs to work on her voice acting.
The special effects were very cool. Definitely an improvement over the previous attempt at a Hulk movie. The big battle at the end seemed to just end abruptly. Not really sure what happened to make the bad guy quit fighting.
The continued tie-in to Ironman and other potential movies is brilliant. I'm not enough of a comic book fan to have caught them all but clearly Marvel has something special in mind.

Exceeded expectations. Thought the action scenes were more fun than those in Iron Man, although I shouldn't be making that comparison at this stage. Nothing wrong with the story, but thought that there could be more dialogue to quicken the pace. Overall a very good job - I'm sure it was far more difficult thinking up a script for Hulk than Iron Man. I hope it does well, and there's more in store. I would have given it 4/5 stars, but it's better than good.

I really enjoyed this Hulk movie. I didn't see the last one because I heard that it was awful. We are big Marvel fans and own all of the other movies except the Hulk. I will definitely add this one to my library. Ed Norton was a good pick for the character of Bruce and Liv Tyler was a good pick for role of Betty. Loved how an Avengers movies is being set up.

This actually is as good as Spider-Man. Granted its no Spider-Man 2. It is however, in my humble opinion better than Iron Man. Mostly because it easy to relate to the Hulk. I mean everyone gets mad. But not everyone is multi-billionaire industrialist. In short a phenominal movie.

This version of the hulk was awesome!! It was so much better then the first film, which I hated. The special effects were sick!! Especially when they showed his full transformation at Mr. Blues lab.. I will see this movie again. Only problem I had with the movie was the helicopter crashing and the only people surviving were Elizabeth and the colonel. They probably should have let some of the soldiers live to give it that more of a possibility feeling.. But still sweet film!!!!!

Well, I liked it. It was way better than the one made before. It is cool how they put the stories together. Yet, in one part one is able to tell that a background screen was being used. Lol. Although many elements are used from the series, the same exact story isn’t. The music is from the series which I found to be cool with that minor 6th. I would go and see it again!!!

This sequel is so much better then the last film its ridiculous what a change in crew makes. the last movie had great intentions but simply misfired on character development, as a result the film took off like a rocket never allowing the viewer to get to know the lovable giant, that is the hulk, which this film does with apple bomb, you almost want give the Hulk a hug really sensing the pain that rages inside of him. The romance is classy and believable, as is the action. An the finally is executed with wonderful attention to detail by the choreographers. I am sure in the interest of PG-13 there was a degree of gore which had to be omitted, but it would have been nice to see R rating withstanding. I look forward to the sequel and please do yourself a favor and go see this movie, which I am sure will be one of the best this summer.

This movie is very good in many ways. First the acting was top notch. Second the story was well written. Third, Hulk looks great and comes across as the comic book in real life. Hulk fans will enjoy this movie very much. One feels for Hulk as he goes through his trials and tribulations against the General who is relentless in his pursuit. Also, Hulk's rival looks wicked and their final fight is awesome. 5 stars for the superhero Green Goliath.

Overall bad movie. Weak script, but it has its moments . I was excited to hear that Ed Norton was taking over the role of Hulk. I thought it would be a good action movie with that smart edge that good actors often bring to this genre. This good cast (Norton, Tyler, William Hurt, Tim Roth) couldn't rescue this boring film. A villian with no motive? Not seeking revenge? Well, that was the least of this films problem. Some of the lines, you could hear the actors cringing as they said them. They did a good job of invoking sympathy for Bruce Banner and his PTSD as he relives the fragment memories of his life as Hulk. The cameo at the end was exciting as a teaser for a sequel- but it made me want to go out and see Iron Man rather than another dull Hulk sequel.

This was a really good movie. My husband is a Marvel freak, he collects all the action figures. This was a real treat and ladies will like it too. Brings back memories from childhood.

well, i'll be the first to admit that this is not my kind of movie. creature-based movies, super heroes or otherwise, are not my cup of tea. having said that, this was a successful action movie with a few good action scenes. overall i was disappointed by the polish on the hulk, but not surprised as the lower-rung FX houses worked on the film. THIS IS A MUCH BETTER FILM THAN ANG LEE'S HULK! go see it with friends. get a couple shots or rips into you and it'll be a fun time.

I enjoyed this new hulk movie. The built on the hulk was better looking than that block looking hulk from the other movie. I was impressed by Ed Nortons acting, as usual. I was also kept on the edge of my seat through the entire movie. PLENTY OF ACTION good job Marvel comics!!!! P.S. I don't know why the movie reviews only gave this movie a fair rating. It must be that they don't know scwat about this super hero. To all of you Hulk fans out there, you WILL love it.

This movie was very entertaining. The computer graphics are really great. A much better story than the Hulk ,which was just bad, and the fact that MARVEL is starting to connect the stroies from other MARVEL movies is wonderful. I can't wait to see more comic book movies. The Hulk is back again since the '03 flop, this time hoping Edward Norton will put it over the top.
After the gamma infection, Banner tries to keep his emotions in check, When he doesn't, parts of Brazil are blown to Heck.
William Hurt plays the dirty general and Tim Roth the wannabe super soldier, Liv Tyler gets hotter as she grows older.
The action is great, the acting is not overly poor, The special effects left me craving more.
In the end, Hulk good but not great, The title character is a big, green, like-able "Big Ball of Hate."

After the 2003 Ang Lee film of the same name, I was fearful that it would not even be possible to make an incredible Hulk movie actually be incredible. However, after a combination of seeing Iron Man, Hearing the news of The Avengers Movie, and Edward Norton playing the lead, I thought it was worth a shot. And, I was pleasently suprised. I was really happy that it had cameoes from Robert Downey Jr. (Reprising his role as Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man), Lou Ferigno (The original Hulk + this movies voice of the CGI Hulk), Stan Lee, and MMA star Rickson Gracie. However, I personally did not like the fact that it happened several months after the Gamma incident and only talked about it during breif flashbacks. I also enjoyed the choice to use CGI, as I did in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (I honestly don't see anyway they could do either the ant scene in Indy IV or the Hulk in this film). Finally, i think that the humor that Marvel is putting into its movies is the right direction to go in. Overall, this is a good movie that has me incredibly hyped to see Spiderman 4 (maybe), Captin America, Ant Man, and the Avengers movie(s).

I couldn't even finish watching the first Hulk movie it was so boring, but like i had hoped Edward Norton and director Louis Leterrier brough the Incredible Hulk back to life! I also took my 5 year old son and a friend of his who is actualy a year younger and they both loved the film as well. Never a dull moment so the kids were perfect through the whole thing. Go see it if you are a fan or have kids.

This time around Bruce Banner is far less introspective and no longer finds himself cursed with repressed daddy issues. And rather than going the route of making a sequel 'The Incredible Hulk' is a revamped, start from the beginning movie. It couldn't be more obvious the creaters took the opinions on the first 'Hulk' movie seriously. I think it was both good and bad. The good: There is more action, and boy is it fun. The CGI is improved, though at times takes away reality completely. The creation of the monster takes place in the opening credits as to cut to the action quicker, while revisiting briefly throughout the movie. Ed Norton is a much more emotional actor and brings not only sympathy to his character but also has a great sense of humor. The humor echos throughout the entire film. The villian is a classic 'Hulk' villian and gives Bruce a chance to be an actual hero. The bad: The first movie had a lot of plot and many issues giving it some major depth. Jennifer Connely was amazing as Betty Ross, one of the great actors of her generation, though underrated. It was interesting to see Bruce's family and history and gave more context to the story. The 'Hulk' was never a major Marvel character, his participation in the 'Avengers' was short lived. This movie added a lot to the shortage of material it had to work with. Also, Ang Lee took a very different look at filming. He filmed in a way that gave the notion that you were looking into a frame in a comic book, and I'm not talking about the boxed screens every once in a while, I'm talking about the even shots on reactions and action. I must admit, I was one of the few who really enjoyed the first movie. The new flick would have served better as a sequel, using the original material to hold fast to a deeper plot. Either way it works and is tons of fun. The acting is solid (Tim Roth looks like he really had a blast), the action is creative and awesome, and the story, though a little thin, is a good one. I enjoyed the homage it paid to the 70's series via music and cameos. I have to admit I didn't think the last scene was done very well. It didn't fit Tony Stark to speak and act the way he did. "What if I told you we were assembling a team?" he asks. Well, what do you think he'll think of that? What a stupid question! Anyway, 'The Avengers' better be an amazing movie if they are going to hype it in every single Marvel movie. If you think you'll like 'The Incredible Hulk' you will, if you don't you won't. But you already knew that.

Between the Hulk and Iron Man faith has been restored in the Marvel Comic's Movies. This movie was so much better than the first Hulk. It was funny and action packed. I would rate it almost 5 out of 5 stars. Do not let the first Hulk discourage you from seeing this movie. If you are a Marvel Comics fan, then for you this is a must see movie.

Perfectly written beggining movie and I hope more will be on their way! I loved the way it kept with the idea of the tv storyline how Banner was always searching for a cure and moving (hiding) from place to place. Norton was great in his role. CGI was great. Just a great movie altogether!!!!
