In all, a solid B+ action movie and a solid A- comic book movie. The only real drawback is that the showdown fight scene wasn't long enough ... needed to see more Hulk-Abomination toe-to-toe, but what there was is some of the best CGI ever done anywhere. The CGI guys finally learned what "texture" is on surfaces.
Loved the lead-ins to other Marvel Comics characters: Doc Samson, The Leader (villain) and - of course - Captain America! No waiting for after the credits to get the "easter egg" in this one, it comes right before the credits roll.
Liv Tyler has filled out nicely and while she doesn't pull of the genius cellular-biologist thing at all, the chemistry between her and Edward Norton was very well done.
Finally, Marvel worked overtime to slip in the homages and direct references to The Incredible Hulk TV show, including cameos by Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno and updated versions of newspaper reporter Jack McGee (and if you don't laugh out loud at the "update" on the classic "Don't make me angry" line, you got somethin' wrong witcha. And, as usual, Stan "The Man" Lee makes not one, but two, cameos - one in person (which they should have shown *much* more results of) and one in a very clever name reference that you have to look for. In all, *INFINITELY* better than Ang Lee's LSD-nightmare version of 2003 and an excellent continuation of Marvel's pursuit of "The Ultimates - Avengers" storylines.
Oh ... and if you listen *really* carefully in the Hulk's first transformation early in the film, you'll find out that "Hulk Smash" are not his first words.

The best Hulk Yet. The rating could be changed to R which could have let the Hulk kill of the villans. The PG13 rating would not allow him to off the bad guys.

While I didn't see the first movie, I later heard about it (not good) but I just didn't get around to see it and cable hasn't shown it yet. My husband and I went to see it because we're of the 70s generation who read the Marvel comic books and watched the T.V. series and there was even a Saturday morning cartoon. All we can say that this movie was fantastic!!!!!The movie kept me on the edge of my seat! Looking forward to Hulk 3 and we know there will be one because of how the movie ended!

Having been a comic/superhero fan for a long time ... like many others ... it's been a long time coming to be able to see these movies finally come to life on the big screen. I think now with Marvel Studios taking the reigns on these movies we finally are getting the movies made the way the fans want them made. Iron Man and Hulk are, hopefully, just the start. Just as casting Downey Jr. as Stark was brilliant ... so is Norton as Banner. Great choice. This movie is definately better than the Ang Lee film. I also enjoyed how the new Hulk took the best aspects of the comics, tv show, and video games and seamlessly blended it all together. Overall, from a casual comics fan perspective, this movie was quite excellent.

Ed Norton, William Hurt and Liv Tyler... Great acting, great story, great action, powerful love story...What a great package! I hate to waste money going to a movie that makes you feel bad after watching a horrible movie with bad acting in the movie( like Jessica Alba or Paris Hilton) but this was so worth it. Edward Norton was phenomenal, I am a huge Tim Roth fan and he did very well in this movie.

I did not enjoy the first Hulk film at all, this one was a much better version but still just OK for me. The best part for me was Stark at he end of the movie and letting us in a sequal hopefully with more characters.

This rendition of the Hulk was truely "Incredible'! The CGI was very realistic. He was so true to life you forgot he was CGI. Can't wait for the much aluded to "Shield". It should be awesome!

The movie takes to screen what I remember as a young man with the comic book series. The actors palyed their roles to the "T". With the little Charactor/Actor "surprises" - the movie kept my son and I on the edge of the seat. Much better than the first Hulk movie and I am defintely waiting to see the continuation.... Marvel & Hollywood do it once more.... The only down side on special effects was the rain scene... however, looking at Liv Tyler makes up for that... :>) Overall the movie is a "must see".

This movie was so good, most people will soon forget about the first attempt. This one makes use remember the heart of Bruce Banner. Plus it has a lot of cool actions scenes too. A must see

Yes this Incredible Hulk rendition was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! I enjoyed the movie from brginning to end. It was action packed and it really reminded of the Incredible Hulk I knew as a kid. Great Movie, it's a must see!!

Unlike many folks, I liked the original Hulk. Even though they said it was not a sequel, I found they did a nice job of "following" the old one and continuing what happened. I initially questioned the roles of Edward Norton in place of Eric Bana and Liv Tyler for Jennifer Connely. Thought Edward Norton did a great job but Liv was OK. While E N comes off as a cerebral character suffering with his inner green monster, Liv's glasses didn't necessarily give off the scientist vibe and thought the dialogue between the characters was a bit teeny bopper. However, the action is why you go to a movie like this and I thought it was worth the time spent. The Tim Roth character added a nice twist and a good arch villian. My only complaint if any is having to pay $10 a ticket for my daughter and I. I am quickly reaching the point where I will wait for a movie like this to come out on DVD and pay $5 for the entire family to watch it at home. At least I saved almost $15 dollars smuggling in M&M, Twizzlers and a couple of drinks which would have almost set me back another $20 bucks. Thought the Robert Downey, Jr. /Iron Giant tie-in ruined the ending and was a bit cheesy. Recommend the movie if you want some good ole fashion action hero fun.
