This movie started a little like a Heroes Episode. The detail of the story is clean and understandable. Jeff Bridges was the perfect 'Sleeper' Bad Guy. The only part of Robert Jr. that is lacking was height. However, He more than made up for this in a Flawless performance. Gwenyth as Pepper? II was a bit taken back until she 'Took out the Trash'. She was unassuming and again a perfect role for an actor. Are they working on number 2 yet. Spiderman was good. But this is the new era of the perfect blend of CG's and live acting. Incredible!!!!
Absolutely BEST MOVIE of the YEAR. SInce Johnny didn't win best actor Oscar for Jack, I wonder if Jr. will win for Tony?? Has my Vote!!!

A very good adaptation of a hard comic. Tony Stark was very well-portrayed, especially the conflict. The "bad guys" were a little flat, but that's to be expected in a Marvel film.
One thing is that I wouldn't take kids younger than 10 to this movie. While it isn't any more violent than Transformers, the kind of violence is more traumatic.

After waiting for more than a week since I ordered my tix was impressed with this movie!! RDJ was perfectly cast as Tony Stark!! His banter with Gwyneth Paltrow was witty and went back and forth like a smooth, flowing general conversation. If they both don't sign up for IM2 (expected Summer 2010 release) it would be consdered one of the biggest career blunders in movie history!!!

I saw the movie last night and was amazed. It started out with a lot of action and then there was a sllight dead spot. But the dead spot was needed because it had to explain some things. Then it was action all the way to the end. Excellent film:)

This movie was awsome, and there were a lot of funny parts throughout the entire movie. I would definitely buy it as soon as it comes out. Also, make sure you stay at the movie until the credits are over, because there is a special scene afterwards that I believe all Marvel Comic fans are going to love...!

Simply put, this movie was awesome. It even had the entire theater clapping after certain scenes. I would recommend this flick to anyone. Stan Lee, excellent idea, what a great movie. Now lets put them all together and create an Avenger movie similar to the comic book!

I just saw this movie last night. Excellent acting, lots of action, and the dialog by Robert Downey Jr. was wonderful. He is a great actor and I think this is one of the better Marvel movies. Go see it and be sure to stay until the credits are done!

Initially, this was a movie I intended to "sit through" with my teenage sons. I actually thought about attending another movie while they watched Ironman, but I'm so glad I didn't miss this one! Robert Downey Jr. was a wonderful surprise. I grew up with him and I was so proud of him. Terrrence, Jeff, and Gwyneth were also great!

This was one of the better comic book movies I've seen in the past 4 or 5 years. It blew the sequels to both Spiderman and The X-Men out of the water and stayed fairly true to the original comic book version of the story. I found the ending rather disappointing, but overall it was worth seeing.

In one word....FANTASTIC!!! Iron Man is one of the best movies I've seen in my lifetime. The action is incredible and the cast is amazing! Robert Downey Jr. is phenomenal. The plot is completely captivating. It's an overall fantastic movie and I totally recommend it to everyone.

We saw this movie last night and it blew us away. The casting was right on. Robert Downey Jr. did an excellent job playing Tony Stark. There was a lot of action with little or no blood and gore. Very kid friendly. The plot was easy to follow and of course, it was left open for a sequel!

I went to the theater expecting so much from this movie, I just have to say that Downey played an excellent IRON MAN and that he gave an awsome performance, and Bridges got me going the entire movie, Paltrow provided a softer, more feminine side of the film, which of course I enjoyed, I mean c'mon IRON MAN as your man wooooo, but I personally enjoyed Howard's supporting role because he was sensitive for the ladies but in such a high ranking as an officer, obtaining all the manly for the guys. As far as Samuel goes I really don't remember seeing him in the film at all, so I think that sums his role in the movie up. All in all I'd have to say from my point of view this movie was soooo extremely awsome that I was sooo glad to have contributed to the box office.

I wasn't really interested at first to see the movie because Robert Downey hasn't really had a great track record lately. But I was bored and I decided to go with my cousin.
It was an extremely pleasant surprise. I don't think Robert Downey has ever looked this good and been in this much shape in his life. Gweneth Paltrow was really good. I kind of thought her overrated when she first came out but she was really good in this movie and the chemistry between her and Downey was present and not the run of the mill stuff either. Terrence was a good straight guy, and JEFF BRIDGES!!! Who would a thunk it!!! I mean he looked weird at first but it really befitted his character. Favreau, on of my favorite actors, may turn out to be one of my favorite directors. He did an excellent job and in the first time in history I believe they MUST do a sequel.
Great way of giving us just enough to make us want more.

Our family can't decide which was better, the Spiderman movies or Ironman. The casting was great! Robert Downey Jr. & Gwyneth Paltrow were great. So happy to see Downey back in a smash hit! Congratulations! Our boys (6 & 9) covered their eyes in a few parts...nothing terrible, just a little scary. We may even go see it in the theater again before it comes out on video (then we'll be the 1st ones in line to buy it). Enjoy the show!

Not my cup of tea, but a lot of fun for families that brought in their young and teenage children! Transformers in Afghanistan, with some spectacular images of my dream villa on the Pacific Coast. But the story is a bit light, and the technology is great at times, but doesn't keep any momentum to keep me amused.

Overall the movie was quite good, however I was disappointed with the generic 'friend/mentor of the hero goes crazy' plot. I know other bad guys exist out there. Other than that I would have liked to see a few more Ironman battle scenes. I've always liked Ironman in the comics and this movie captures the essence very well. Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark was great, he captured the spoiled millionaire loner mentality the character exhibits with ease. With the advent of better CGI, movies of this nature are becoming much more detailed and realistic. Ironman scores a big win in that regard. I definitely recommend going to see Ironman if you want some escapist fun. Take your kids too.
