I loved this movie. I am definitely not the target audience for it and was hesitant to go. But it was really good. I hope there's a sequel. I know my 13 and 15 year old children would love it. I just wish they had left out the practically naked girl on top of guy scene toward the beginning. Also some of the violence was too intense.

...but honestly, not because of the action. Don't get me wrong, the action was great. The CGI didn't get in the way. The booms were gorgeous war pron. But the acting, the dialog, the whole script was fantastic. Who would have thought that a scene with Tony Stark and his robots would steal the movie!
Oh, and a note for fans: there's a Ferris ending. SIT THROUGH THE CREDITS! Even if your bladder is about to go 'splody!

Great movie, only a very few minor tech details that weren't correct about the movie that 99% of people don't notice, other than that, great story line, awesome special effects, great acting! GREAT MOVIE, and by the way, stay around and wait until after the credits role, you wont be sorry.

I felt the movie lacked action. I was waiting the whole time to hear Black Sabbaths "Iron Man" followed by some serious butt kicking but instead Downey got his butt kicked during the two quick fight scenes and the song did not play until the credits. I thought it just lacked a little more in the end but the cast was great and the storyline was entertaining despite the subtle changes made to appeal to the current audience.

Iron Man stood out from the other Marvel comic book movies. The movie was very humorous in many parts which helped the slower parts of the movie out. Robert Downey Jr. did an excellent job playing Iron Man. I can't wait for a sequel to come out and see who Iron Man will face next.

Being a person who was an avid fan of Marvel during the 70's & 80's, let me start by saying Iron Man was not my favorite comic during that period. That said, this is probably the best execution of the Marvel vision brought to the big screen thus far. Excellent casting, great script, and plenty of references to the Marvel universe all made this 2 hour movie go by much too quickly. Highly recommended, well worth the inflated ticket price.....and please, stay through the credits, or else you Marvelheads will miss perhaps the best Marvel reference of the movie.

fun special effects and undeniable cool factor (who doesn't want to fly around in a supersonic suit of armor?). The main problem for me is that Tony Stark had 5 different personalities in this movie, and none of them really seemed cohesive. Fun to watch, but don't expect great cinema.

For me, as an Iron Man fan, this film will be hard to beat. It remains true to it's origins while taking the story in new directions.
Effects are seamless, cinematography and direction are nicely done.
I highly recommend this for all fans of comic book movies and especially to fans of Ol' Shellhead.

With all the marvel movies that come out every year, ive never really been all that impressed.
Its ussually the same special effects and cheesy diagloqe.
I came in with low expectation to see this movie and was simply amazed. This movie blew every marvel movie ive ever seen out of the water!
This movie is well worth seeing and i plan to place a preorder to buy as soon as possible.
Im seeing it again tonight. Id suggest you do too.
As far as being a family film, theres very little blood but still alot of guns and violence.
Lets face it, the guys a gun manufacturer.
However, in this world of innapropriate TV and desensitized kids, this movie really isnt that bad. Cartoon Network has worse on regular TV. Id suggest bringing kids 10+.
Again i cant stress enough how awsome this movie is.
The stars playing this movie arent really that well known and i think that that just amplifies their preformance. Witty diagloque and perfectly timed humor is intertwined within the movie, but doesnt conflict with the storyline.
A great movie!

I you liked all three Spiderman and Superman Returns, you'll love Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard and Gweneth Paltrow all give outstanding performances with just a little comic relief. It is one of this summer's most go see.

I saw the midnight showing friday evening, so how amazing this movie was is still fresh in my mind. I think it was perfectly executed, and the way they opened it up for more movies with the clip after the credits (so remember to stay afterwards!) was very well done. Its my favorite Marvel movie so far. Well done! See it, and bring all your friends!

Thats definitely how you do a superhero movie! I was impressed from start to finish with this one and it was actually worth the money! Good cast and plot fueled the great effects. So if you want to be entertained like the 1st Spiderman or last summer's Transformers check out Ironman!

I really loved this movie. I thought all the characters were well written, I think they were all well cast. Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark fit so well, he was amazing. I think the sleeper was Jeff Bridges, we was just fantastic in this character. Terrance Howard was a slight let down in comparison to other award-winning performances but given the character, he did a good job. I have never been a Gwyneth Paltrow fan, but she was good in this film. If you stayed to the end of the credits, Samuel L. Jackon looks to be an interesting Nick Fury, am willing to bet he will be cast in a Nick Fury/S.H.I.E.L.D. stand alone movie, and positively assured to be in an Iron Man sequel. Fantastic special effects and story line round out this movie. I will see it again.

Caught it yesterday afternoon, all I can say is that this was a great movie - Faithful to the source yet modern at the same time. Looking forward to see what Favreau and Downey are going to do for an encore..loved the hints from the comics (the ten rings of the Mandarin, etc). Be sure to stay till the very end of the credits for the final scene!

Took my son to see this flick yesterday. Humor, suspense, action; they're all there. The film makers did a great job setting up the plot and delivering the punch lines. Awesome cast that made the movie that much more enjoyable. Paramount better line up Iron Man 2! Hopefully they'll use Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow to play opposite each other; they brought the sizzle to the screen.

Saw the movie opening night. I give it a 4 out of 5. I was very pleased to see the movie live up to the hype. Too many times they let you down (Incredible Hulk), but Marvel continues on a smooth pace w/ Iron Man. Downey was a decent choice. I had skepticisms about him being the lead, but he did very well. As far as the plot, love interest, etc., it was more than enough to keep driving the story along. 2 hours in length, but one of those that you don't realize it till you get up stiff. However, very much worth it! There aren't many blockbusters these days, but this should end up being one of the best on the year. I'm a big fan of CG when done right, and in thise case Marvel once again came through. You're emotionally drawn in to the "Iron Man Environment" and begin to think of all the possibilities w/in that universe while enjoying a pleasureable cinematic experience. Personally, I don't purchase many movies because they usually aren't worth it, but this will be on the list to purchase on BD when it hits. It can go along w/ Spiderman, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Superman on the shelf. It's worth it folks, go see Iron Man!

I went to this movie with my husband during the 10AM showing while the kids were in school. As I was watching, it struck me that it was intended for my generation. The music and the people spoke our language. I also realized everyone else there was about our age. It was great fun to watch and to see the evolution of Tony Stark we can all relate to. My kids will definitely see it now.

This was the best comic book movie I have ever seen. The acting, the script, and the plot were all exceptional. Robert Downey Jr. was perfect in this role, and I normally don't even think Gwenyth Paltrow is hot, but she was in this movie. It all worked for me. I also liked how the CG wasn't over done. This movie has definetly raised the bar for other comic book movies to come.
