I Loved this movie I can not wait until it comes out for sale a must have. I am in my late 40's and thought oh no a comic book movie but what a movie, it grabs you and never lets up. I left the movie feeling exhilarated and completely entertained. I wanted to go back and see it again and I cant wait for the sequel. The Best Movie I have seen in a long time and well worth the money.

This movie is better than I thought it would be. They did an excellent job and I was a fan of Iron Man. The thing about watching this movie is that when buy your ticket be there at least 1 hour early. I said 1 hour early because I came to movie theater 30 min early and I went in it was pack. I have to seat in the front of the movie. So Be there 1 hour early. Finally for my thoughts and I don't want to spoil anyone just wait for the credits to be done. Something is there you just have to wait and see it. Have Fun

The characters were very well developed and the story kept me entertained for the entire 2 hours. On the downside, a few moments felt a little unbelievable and Gweyneth Paltrow's acting wasn't as strong as Downey's and Bridges'. Not a perfect movie but definitely a great one.

Despite his age, Robert Downey Jr played the perfect Tony Stark. I can't wait for the upcoming sequel... Hopefully that's the one where Rhodes (Terrence Howard) becomes War Machine.

I absolutely loved this movie. As soon as it was over I wanted to go in and see it again. You will not be disappointed in this movie. Terrance Howard added so mush to the movie. He and RDJ had a good chemistry. Pepper was dynamite too. 5 stars!!!

I went to see this with a friend last night at the AMC Hoffman in Alexandria, VA and all I can see is WOW!
This was the most AWESOME Marvel movie yet and I can't wait for the DVD!! GThis movie will blow you away. It was witty, exciting and action packed! Robert Downey Jr. was...correct is the only actor who could have played Tony Stark.
I can't wait for the sequel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, Robert Downey Jr. is a superb actor and I am so happy to see him back and doing so well. Perfect role for him. This movie was so well done, the acting was great and all of the roles that the actors played were so fitting! I also am a Gwyneth fan, and she was great too.
It is a must see on the big screen, yes go out and pay for it!!! Cheers to Robert :) You deserve it.

While not a huge comic book fan, Iron Man has to be one of my favorite comic book characters. I always liked the fact that he didn't have any superpowers and that his weaknesses were very real. (Women and alcohol instead of kryptonite.) Although not exactly like the comic book Iron Man, this movie stands on it's own perfectly. It's over 2 hours but you would never know it. The pacing of this film should be used as an example for all other action films. The mix of comedy and serious issues were perfect. The special effects and CGI were seamless and just looked natural. Downey plays the role perfectly and doesn't try to go over the top with the emotional scenes. The supporting cast was great and everybody did well with their roles. All in all, a must see.

Usually when a movie gets this much hype I am disappoiunted in the result. Not with this one. Fantastic movie kept me wishing it would not end. Who would have thout Robert DOwney Jr. would resurrect his career?!? My son and I saw it. We will likely go again to take my wife and daughter. Go see it!

It's like a combination of Lord of War, Batman Begins and Transformers.
And Yes, it is better than Spider-man 2, Batman Begins, and even Superman. For me and most people I know, this film kicked a** and had everybody talking about it for days.
It's solid and so much fun, I felt like yelling "WOOOHOOO" at many parts through the film, it's like a rollercoaster.
I can't wait for a sequel, I'm really happy Marvel finances it's own films now. No more studio execs watering down and ruining classic comic-book heroes like Ghost Rider.
Go watch it, NOW. And then .. go watch it again, just like I'm gonna do.

Accepting that it is a comic book hero becoming a movie, it was quirky, had verbal sparing which was fun. Gwyneth was sexy and great to look at. Robert Downey Jr was a perfect fit for this role, he played the rich playboy very easily....probably from his own experiences. The music was was really good and I plan on getting the sound track. The only disappointing part was the ending, I thought it was weak. I also thought Beau Bridges was kinda weak as well.

Comic adaptations are great when they can be put on the big screen without losing the basic elements that made them great comic books. Iron Man did just that. It stuck to the story, while still able to modernize it to present day. It also helped that a QUALITY core of actors were tapped in to this project. If you know about Tony Stark, and you know about Robert Downey Jr., then you know he is an ideal fit as the brash and sometimes reckless Stark. Guys, don't be afraid to take your girls to see this one, it's got a little something for everybody. Can't wait to see it again, and then the sequel (Of course there's going to be a sequel!).

I was somewhat skeptical going into this. I was really afraid that it would suffer from the problem that most superhero movies do. The first movie about a new superhero almost always gets bogged down in exposition and understandably so - they have to explain how they got to be a superhero in the first place.
Iron Man handled this exceptionally well. I got plenty of background and origins and still had time for a big battle with the villain at the end.
I may have to see it again while it's still on the big screen. The effects were flawless and the action sequences were some of the best I've seen.
In short: go see it!

Excellent super hero movie. The acting is well done and the special effects are awesome. PG-13 seems a bit cautious, I would have no problem with a PG rating for this movie. Robert Downey Jr. has certainly cleaned up his act and it shows in this movie. Should do very well at the box office until the new Indy (Harrison Ford) movie opens up later in the month. Stay until all the credit flash by for a special message from Samuel Jackson.

An excellent superhero movie. Robert Downey Jr.'s intriguing and funny portrayal of Tony Stark was a very necessary balance for the serious action scenes. My girlfriend, who like many girlfriends hates when I talk about comic books, really liked this movie (again, Downey Jr. helped).
There is violence, so this is not a movie for young children unless the parent explains the issues.

This movie is a rollercoaster ride from start to finish. I have not had this much fun watching a comic book film since I saw Spider-man 2 and Batman Begins. If you don't know what happens already, stay to the end of the credits to find out. Well, why are you still reading this go and see the movie already. The last thing I have to say is don't make movie audiences wait forever for a sequel.
