I never thought this would live up to the great trailers. I was talking myslef out of liking it as I went into the theatre. Boy was I wrong! This movie exceeded my expectations and may be the best superhero movie ever.

This movie was very well done. There was really no profanity, which is a big plus. The acting was top notch and the special effects were outstanding. I would recommend this movie to anyone and everyone that likes a good action/adventure movie. And, that are kid's at heart..... :)

Well, being a fan with the comic's and of marvel, I wasn't looking forward to Robert being the lead role...... but he did his work on this film!!! Everything went perfect with this, from the CGI, to the big bangs, down to the funny lines that Robert brings to Tony Stark. Go out and see this as you will not be disappointed!! Take my word

Witty, engaging, sexy and thrilling. A seriously "cool" film, but with a strong theme, well-rounded characters, uniformly good acting, and brilliantly executed special effects. It is exactly what I hoped it would be - a perfect comic book super-hero movie. Looking forward to Iron Man 2!

The movie literally was not long enough, can not wait to see the next hopefully it is better then the Spidermans got worse as they made more, I would like them to out see the first one.

Sorry to go against the crowd but I did not like this movie. There was nothing particularly compelling about Robert Downey's performance. The movie is your typical Hollywood megabucks blockbuster--long on high tech CGI and short on character development, emotion, or laughs. Some pretty good action sequences but other than that I wanted to leave halfway through.

Overall this was a very entertaining movie. There were lots of moments of intrigue and comedy. It was a very well done comic book movie. Aside from little details changed and not really letting the main villian grow on screen it was really done. Plus the scene after the credits was defiantely worth staying for.

This movie hit all the right notes for a long standing character. Long time readers or people that have never read the comic will both enjoy this movie. Really wish that I had stayed till the end of the credits though.

Excellent movie-never was a big fan of the comic book, but went b/c the trailer looked so good. Definitely did not disappoint! Great movie-can't wait for them to make a sequel!

Awesome, fast moving fantastic comic book adaptation of a movie. My only complaint was that there was way to much villain-hero monologuing at the end in the "final showdown". Still waiting on "The Dark Knight". Don't get me wrong, totally worth the admission price, Robert Downey was amazing, funny, and perfectly cast. I'll definitely buy the DVD.

I told my pals months ago, when I learned that Robert Downey Jr. was chosen for the lead role, that this movie had the makings of an Epic "Comics-to-Film" adaptation and it delivered! The supporting cast of Paltrow, Bridges, and Howard was amazingly put together. Jeff Bridges played his role with the precision of a ginsu wielding chef! I was texting friends and family well into the middle of night after seeing this movie.

All I can say is for you to see this movie. It has to be the best movie that has been produced from a Marvel comic with X-Men a close second. It was well written, directed, and produced, not to mention I can not picture any actor other than Robert Downey, Jr. playing Tony Stark.
In a nut shell: It is worth the money go see IT!

I had as much fun watching this movie as my kids did.
As an old school comic fan, Iron Man was one of my personal favorites, behind the X-Men and the FF.
The movie had lots of action, was fairly intelligent, and it was great to see Robert Downey Jr. back in action again. And, like it or not, Gwyneth actually looked pretty good! :)

I don't normally like action adventure movies much, however this was the exception! This movie was EXCELLENT! Robert Downey Jr. was fabulous, and I couldn't be more pleased to see him nail this role! The plot build up was done perfectly, and I was on the edge of my seat, along with my 3 yr. old, 5 yr. old, husband, and sister!!! This movie was a pleaser for all ages, and I will go to the theatre and pay to see this one a second time...something I NEVER do! I highly recommend this movie. You won't regret it!

Iron Man was the best movie I've seen this year. I loved the plot, the characters, the villans, everything. Robert Downey Jr.'s sarcasm just puts the cherry on top of everything too. Very funny ending also. Not gonna give it away!!! Everyone needs to see it. I'm definately gonna go see it again

The movie definately lived up to the hype. I was not much of a Robert Downey Jr. fan before this movie, but he was excellent. Gwyneth Paltrow was awesome (as usual) and Jeff Bridges was a great bad guy (he's come a long way from Starman). I highly recommend this movie.

I had read several shining reviews of the movie before going and truly expected to be disappointed. But from the first scene to the last, IronMan did everything but! The movie had a great story, a believable and wonderful cast, and fantastic special effects. Can't wait to see it again!

Iron Man delivers the goods on every level! I am a die-hard comic book fan, and I loved it. I went to the movie with people who knew nothing about the character beforehand, and they loved it as well. The human drama scenes were just as good, if not better, than the special effects scenes, which were so cool that they give you goosebumps. Highly recommended!

I attended this movie with my husband and 5 kids(10 to 15). Everybody loved it. The plot was gripping, the special effects were spectacular and Robert Downey was HOT! He played a toyally believable hero for today. This movie will absolutley be added to our home movie collection when it comes out on DVD.Oh, Jeff Bridges's role was phenomanal too.

Robert Downey Jr has always been a favorite actor of mine despite his bad boy image but the role of Tony Stark was truly made for him. The film does well to develop the character's without taking itself too seriously so the audience can enjoy the spectacle as well as acting.

Addmittedly I knew that this movie would impress me before seeing a single frame. As a fan of the comic book when I was young, I always preffered Iron Man to other superheroes. I think it was because Iron Man, while mildly flawed as a person, is just that, a person. The argument could be made that Batman fits this discription. But to me dressing up as a bat, nay, a tight wearing bat, leaves normalcy far behind and takes away some of the realism for me. This movie's only potential problem was the inexperience of director Jon Favrau with the action genre. I am glad to report that the movie was more entertaining than the first spidey, and will probably make more money.

began its studio driven productions with a bang as I was thoughly
entertained with Iron Man. If kicking off the summer movie season was
not enough of a burden how about kicking off a studios fortunes. Marvel
shows it knows and loves the characters it has held close to heart with
a well balance, funny and adrenaline charged movie. Robert Downey
proved that not all fanboy talk should be embraced as he clearly has a
great time and captures the heart of Tony stark. Paltrow is perfect as
Pepper Potts and I really was surprised by Jeff Bridges whose look and
take on the villan role was a big part of the movies success. Iron Man
is going to enjoy a great summer and it managed it will drive buzz for
Marvel's next big step with the Incredible Hulk. The clip after the
credits role will have all die hard fans counting down the days to Iron
Man 2!!!!

This movie doesn't disappoint on any level. Want action? It's got that. Want drama ... that too. A little romance ... blah ... yeah it's got that too. Comedy ... plenty. Good vs. evil. Yeah that too. Suspense ... it's in there. Director Jon Favreau .. or whatever his name is lol .. did an excellent job with this. Everyone did ... from the script writer on down. Awesome job. Batman Begins and Iron Man have started something that I hope continues onward for every superhero movie made from this point on.
