Well written! Great Acting! Great Action Scenes!!! This was what a Summer Blockbuster is suppose to be. Very active and smart. I was tired as sin when I went to see this. It actually boosted my energy. I felt 11 again. I was actually with my 11 year old and his 11 year old friend and they both loved it. Which meant they loved the cool things and I loved everything in between. Great Movie!

Even though we got to the theater late and had to sit in the FRONT ROW, I enjoyed this movie thoroughly. Robert Downey Jr. is fantastic. It had just the right blend of action and humor. Sure, it wasn't the most realistic movie ever made, but none of the comic book remakes ever are. It was great to see Gwyneth back on the big screen!!
I highly recommend it!

This was an awesome movie! It had great actors in it who all performed their part with perfection. We were very happy with the story line and for once not unhappy with the ending. This movie was everything we expected from the beginning to the end. Not one let down. We are going to sit and wait for the second one and hope that Robert Downey Jr. chooses to return as Ironman!

By far the best of the Marvel comics movies! This movie was action packed from start to finish, and it was hilarious too! Robert Downey Jr had a great performance. I was hooked the entire time. I'm going to buy this movie on Blue-Ray as soon as it comes out.

Fanatstic! Second only to Batman Begins as best Comic Book movie so far. Faveru has genuine love for the source material. If you are any type of marvel Comic fan (I'm sure you already know this) stay till after the credits.

I tried not to expect too much from Iron Man because it could very easily be slaughtered. When I saw it, I was thrilled with the way it turned out. The plot was awesome in keeping with the comic books. A few things were changed, but done so very tastefully. All lead actors did great in portraying thier characters, espesually Downey. I was very impressed, and he really brought passion and beleivability to the role. Great action and great plot........If you have not seen it... SEE IT.. you won't be disappointed.

Just saw Iron Man and WOW!! Robert Downey, Jr. has come a long way, both professionally and personally, and it shows with this movie. Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and the support cast did an outstanding job; and I did not know Jeff Bridges could play a convincing bad guy. I agree that the maybe first 30 minutes were ever so slightly slower than the rest of the movie, but then BANG - it's off to the races. Great story, great action, great CGI, and great acting. We are sooooooo looking forward to IM2!!!!!

I had been looking forward to Iron Man for a while, and I thought it was great. The acting was great, and you could tell that Favreau was a fan of the comic book with the respect he pays to the franchise. A+ I can't wait for the sequel!

I have been waiting for Marvel to get it right on a single hero action flick, and finally they nailed it!! Jeff Bridges as the leading villain?? Was.. you know, like perfect, man.. I dont believe that there is a better casting job than Robert Downey Jr, as Tony Stark.. Terrence Howard, although he didn't play a necessarily huge role in the film, but it was significant. Although I wasnt impressed with Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, who's gonna really complain about that?? Jon Favreau, great job on a great movie!!

This is one of the rare comic book movies that actually was true to the comic book story. The adventure scenes were great and the story line was on point. I would see it again and I recommend that you go and see this movie.

It was an amazing movie and I would recommend it to any action, superhero loving movie veiwer. It was a stellar marvel production and cant wait for the next one in 2010. All reservations that I had about Robert Downey Jr. playing the role of Iron Man went out the window after the first 5 minutes of the movie. Who else can get into tip top shape and play a womanizing, techie (but not geeky) millionaire?! He played the part and did an awsome job. In this movie you'll get all the action and comedy you'd expect to get from a Jon Favreau film, while staying true to the Iron Man comics. This was a great start to the summer movie season! A definite must see!

Like most sci-fi geeks, my anticipation for this movie had been building for a year. Like most sci-fi geeks, I was not disappointed.
This movie had everything a good movie should have: a great story, great acting, great action and a reason for the viewer to willfully suspend their disbelief. Iron Man has all of that. Yes, it takes some time for the fun to begin, but that time is used wisely, setting up our hero as an allegory for America: brilliant, untraditional, hard working, rich and distributing weapons of mass destruction to anyone with money. But Downey uses his acting skills to make Tony Stark a likable character, someone the guys want to be and someone the girls want to be with.
The mechanics of his transformation into a more compassionate, enlightened American is believable again because of Downey's outstanding acting talents. Having been duped by those in control, he quickly takes steps to compile a response, and THAT'S when the fun begins.
The entire concept of his armor and the CGI that creates it is just fantastic. The R&D sequences are some of the best moments of the film, topped only by him going into combat with the final product. My only problem with the film was that it seemed too short. They could have gotten away with another half hour of him kicking butt in the armor.
The rest of the cast support and build on Downey's talents. Paltrow is at her best, the highly efficient, loyal friend to Stark. Bridges (despite the fact he will always be The Dude to me) pulls off a believable, even likable bad guy.
What it comes down to is that I can't wait for the next one. Hopefully they'll spend more time with Stark in his armor next time. And they've already alluded to the whole War Machine subplot, so I assume they've got at least a couple of sequels planned.

This movie was sweet! I didn't know what to expect but I was blown away! It's probably the best action flick I've seen so far this year. I really liked Transformers and it was kind of similar. Iron man was way better though.

Robert Downey Jr. Is amazing. Perfect choice for the cocky playboy turned millionaire protector of good. We had no problem with the Middle Eastern setting. Very timely. Terrence Howard is awesome as the extremely intelligent "voice of reason". Loved him.
The overall plot although predictable, was thoroughly engaging. The comic points were highly effective. This is one of the best big screen comic book hero movies to date. We'll buy it and look forward to future installments.
