Being a child of the 60's, I was there for the birth of all these Marval characters. I believe this movie stayed close to the original story line and 'persona' of the Thor character. Good choice of actor to portray the hero. I don't expect one movie to fully scratch my Thor itch but I can easily see the depth of this hero to be met with further episodes (developement). Nuff said!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
