Excellent story of power, politics, and social responsibility with a hero twist. Stark Industries has all the power by monopolizing the "high tech" weapons market including the bomb that almost killed "Tony Stark." The story evolves into a struggle for power of who will be the directing the destiny of weapon maker. At the end, the social responsibility stems out of the main character, Iron Man, in helping the world by the idea of "no more guns." Bottom line the movie is entertaining breaks away from the typical hero who gets the "lady" and has excitement without stop. Recommend for all in the family but just preempt on the violence and one minor love scene. Robert Downey, Jr and Jeff Bridges great performance. Spiderman, Iron Man is here.

I really had no desire to go see this and have never been a fan of comics. My kids and husband dragged me to go over the weekend and I have to say this is the best movie I have seen in quite some time. Very impressed by Robert Downey Jr.'s acting. This movie will definately keep you in your seat, it is nonstop, never a dull moment. Intense and full of action. Can't wait to own it and see it again.

Iron Man was everything I expected it to be and more! Robert Downey Jr.'s performance was excellent! The movie brings a lot of action and keeps you on the edge of your seat. This movie is by far the best movie I've seen all year! It's the type of movie you wouldn't mind watching over and over and over again.

i'm not into comic books/scifi etc... but i really enjoyed this movie, i loved the special effects and technology shown and thought it was great! it was suspenseful, and lots of action-- we'll definitely be watching it again :o)

My husband and I saw this last night and it was great. Robert Downey, Jr. is great as the lead character and I didn't recognize Jeff Bridges--he was such a great villian. It's action packed and the CGI blended in seamlessly. We can't wait for the sequel.

Marvel Studio's been hit or miss with all of their films. It's nice to see another one make it into the 'hit' category! And they did it by sticking to the formula that made Marvel Comics #1 in the comic book biz: by making larger than life superheroes that are real, believable human beings underneath the tights, green skin and armor!

A good storyline coupled with great effects. Actionpacked and all the other superlatives one can think of. I don't go to the movies often but I'm glad I saw this one on the big screen. My kids really loved it. In their words, it was "raw", "cool" and "awesome"

As a little kid, IRON MAN was only second to SPIDER MAN for me. After watching the movie, I walked away thinking this is the best comic superhero movie ever. That includes SUPERMAN. Bravo goes to Robert Downey Jr. and the rest of the cast for an excellent job! My boys and I can't wait for the sequel.

I thought this would be a disappointing movie considering the last couple of comic books movies that came out in recent years. But I am glad to say I was wrong. The movie was great, acting was very well done. All in all a great movie. I would rate it just behind Spiderman 1 and Batman Begins in terms of best comic movie in the past 15 years.

At first I was a little unsure about seeing this movie because the last few Marvel Movies were only so-so. But this movie blew me away! The action sequenses were amazing and there was a great mix of action/comedy. Aslo Gwyneth Paltrow was a perfect casting as Pepper Potts and her on screen chemistry with Robert Downey Jr. was fun to watch.
I highly recommend this movie to anyone becuase it does have a little of something for everyone.

This movie is excellent. The non action scenes are great. The action scenes are great. I was never bored. I felt the characters. The CG is top notch. It never looks animated. I loved this movie, will see it again. I can't wait for the sequel, and I can't wait to see Terrence Howards character evolve. Jeff Bridges was the best bad guy I've seen in a long time, especially since you dont really expect that from him. It took me 20 minutes to realize Jeff Bridges was Obediah, the new look is awesome. This was the best movie I've seen in a long time. Robert was buffed, cocky, and sexy!!!

Great fun. True of most films of this genre, it's mostly video and audio brain candy, but that is what this type of film is all about. Most of the characters are convincing, and the story line as believable as it needs to be.
Great film - get a popcorn a coke and just enjoy the fun.

This movie is full of non-stop action. Great audience participation, with people clapping and cheering in all the right places. Kudos to Robert Downey, Jr. He pulls off his portrayal of an ordinary guy called to greatness. This movie was so good, we went back last weekend to see it again. Stay to the end, past the credits, for an extra clip.
