The newspaper reviewer got this one right: not a great movie, just a very enjoyable one, with great music. I thought that the cinematography was really good too. An uplifting, fun movie, based on a true story.

Nothing in The Sapphires is new, but the execution is very good. I enjoyed it a lot. The actors all do a fine job and the music (Motown covers) is fine.
