The score almost drowned it out, the special effects almost overpowered it, and the love story was almost pushed aside for everything else. Those were almosts. The movie is sumptuous, vibrant,.and over the top in every area. Most of all it was a great movie. I can't imagine NOT seeing it in 3d.
It was very cliche' ridden, but, works as a whole. The science, religion,, and big bad corporation, all textbook. But, all alitlle deeper that typical, and all well acted.

The Dark Knight

This is a very dark movie. I really like datk movies. This one is fantastic. Though it's 21/2 hours long it doesn't feel like it.
I was surprised at how many kids were there. I wouldn't take my kid until they were 13.
It must be a lot easier to act outrageous when you are wearing heavy makeup. Heath Ledger was excellent, showing up even Jack Nicolson's version of the same character. Very few times is an over the top villan believable. Christian Bale as always was excellent. It's hard to remember a role Chritian Bale didn't inhibit with skill.
