I thought the Dark Knight was one of the best movies I have ever seen, but also one of the most violent. I thought the acting was top knotch, the story was great, but the moral dilemmas and terrorist type violence means that I would not recommend this movie to fellow christians. It wasn't gory or bloody, but a lot of people get killed by burning or explosions or bullets. Go enjoy this movie if you are brave and tough, but if you are at all sensitive, leave this one alone.
