Fun but disappointing. The characterizations and dialogue were faithful to the original series---a plus---but alas, the plot was as well. No originality and huge logic holes. Can't witers come up with anything but a time travel story anymore? Star Trek has already overused that device, and Lost, and Terminator, and so on and on. Also, the camera is jerked all over the place making it hard to actually see what is happening. Not classic SF.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
