A unique and masterful Ridley Scott SciFi epic that successfully ties the knot to the timeline of the Alien series, while branching the story and shifting to a new timeline that will offer the producers many more episodes completely seperate from the Alien series, should they wish to make them. Story telling at its best! The acting and dialogue is fresh, The action is gripping. and quickly paced. It was well received by the audience which made their approval apparent by a very loud round of applause at the end of the movie. Something you don't see very often at the movies anymore.

Start to finish edge of your seat excitement . Very very rairly can you attend a movie with five people and hear ALL five raving about it on their way out of the movie. This movie scores big in every way, shape, form. Great summer entertainment.
Since we only meet two angels in this movie the title is misleading in terms of expected action. While fairly well done the story line never fully develops and leaves the audience with way too many questions unanswered and almost seems as if this movie was meant to be a TV pilot with many episodes to follow. The door is definetely open for sequels, but who cares: there is too much unknown to stay interested until the sequel arrives. Decent entertainment for an afternoon but not much beyond that.
Reading the reviews here explains why more Broadway shows don't make the big screen. "Nine" carries a message that apparently nearly all reviewers (including good ones) totally missed. As Guido becomes bogged down in his rhetorically debauched adult life and looses his creativity he flashes back over his childhood and the women in his life that helped inspire his creativity. Too caught up in the artificial ritual of his adult life he is unable to create his next masterpiece. Only when he realizes that the little kid hanging around in the recesses of his mind needs to get out and play again, does his creativity return. Ta-Da!! How did everyone miss this???
