It's a movie about one's man mission for excellence at work. It is also about each of our missions in our lives. Jiro was unbending about doing the very best sushi for his customers. We could all gain by performing even just at half his dedication.
The film however gets a little dry repeating the same message several different ways. It feel a bit too much like a documentary.
Nevertheless, it is absolutely worth your time.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

What a Rush!

Geoffrey Rush is outstanding! As usual! And Colin Firth is tops...convincing, real, despite having to portray a person with a speech impediment which often is mocked. H B Carter also deilivers an excellent portrayal of "Queen Mum" as the supportive, dedicated wife of King George VI. I was glued to the story. The cinematography was artistic and classy and frankly it's a movie worth seeing twice!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Boring Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Too bad the story line is unexiting! There are many good ideas and creative scenes but they were not enough to keep my attention. Plus, none of the characters are really that interesting. Hey, Mr. Director...Entertain my brain, please,...not just my eyes!! This movie is for a less discriminating young audience who will enjoy the gee whiz factor. For an adult...forget about it!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I will be seeing this movie at least three times in a top notch 3-D/IMAX Theater! The story line is simple but inspiring. The acting is excellent for its genre and the special effects are over the top. I am hooked for many more episodes. Go see it. You'll have fun.
