Great Effects--Mediocre Plot

Attended with my teenage son and truly enjoyed the colors and efffects, especially in the first half.
Plot was tired parade of politically correct cliche after cliche--only female pilot is able to rise above military brainwashing and find humanitarian view on war; female warrior saves main character; disabled vet makes good; companies run by white males are evil and lacking vision; female mother earth is the true power; tribal emotions more profound than western learning... yawn yawn.
Very few older persons and very few females of any age that I spoke to enjoyed the plot.
More for young techies
But still fun to see and be part of this revival of improved 3D and some of the colors and scenes are breathtaking.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
