The Harry Potter movies keep getting better. I'm sad to see them end next year.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I've avoided the ring cycle for years and was thrilled to know it was in HD live/encore near me. The set was technically brilliant and I loved the images of the Rheingold sparkling, but I do like the grandiose sets of the past (Turandot and La Boehem as favs) I do think the sets were a bit outre, but the voices were sublime. I agree w/ the reviewer who would have appreciated a more thunderous hammer strike at the end. And the audience laughed to see the huge serpent/snake when I was there. The head was stunning but the tail was a bit much flailing around. I have a subscription to the Met and I'm seeing 4 of the HD productions. I love the opera.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I very much enjoyed this film -- good for all ages. Toothless and Hiccup are great.

I saw this performance at the Met in November and was so entranced that I came home and ordered tickets for the live HD performance!
It was every bit as good on HD as it was in the operahouse with the added benefit of close-ups and interviews with the cast.
The HD performances are a wonderful idea and I plan to see more!
Last year I saw Peter Grimes in HD encore -- the live one was sold out -- and Anthony Griffiths (Peter Grimes) sat 2 seats away from me!! Wow!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
