What a refreshing movie experience! especially in a season of dark/serious movies. It was such a joy to see actors having fun in a movie that was just plain fun itself. When I heard who some of the actors were I had my share of doubts, but was ready to suspend disbelief, and I am so glad I did! From the beautiful opening to the rousing "rock" credits, I was hooked. Like many of the reviews here, I was thrilled to hear the audience singing along with the movie, and all the enthusiastic clapping as the credits rolled. I have not heard applause at a movie in a very long time. No matter what the critics say, "Mamma Mia!" has become my personal summer blockbuster. JOYOUS!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
