good summer blockbuster

This movie was exactly what I expected. I knew beforehand there was a scene that would be hard for my 5 year old boy to watch. (Sam gets captured by the Decepticons) Other than that, good, action summer blockbuster movie.
I thought the story was good with tremendous special effects.The jokes were funny, stuff for the youngsters and well as adults.
My only complaint , a bit long, especially for kids. They could easily cut 30 minutes and the movie would be just as good. Kids only care about the Transformer scenes anyhow, well and probably some adults too.
The movie is exactly what it advertises to be, no more, no less! If that's what you are looking for, then you will enjoy it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

We took our 4 year old son and we all loved it, especially the storyline between Wall E and Eve. Some very cute and touching moments. Found it hard to believe I was getting tears in my eyes over two robot characters, but I did.
We did, however, think the movie was a touch on the preachy side in relation to global warming and especially, obese/lazy people. The movie offers a less preachy explanation later, but it would've been nice to have that explained earlier.
I did see Happy Feet tho, and found that movie MUCH MORE PREACHY (if that helps).
So even tho I could've done without the lesson, the movie storyline is excellent with the robots. Our son loved it and sat through it transfixed, which in his terms, means a thumbs up as well.
