Star Trek, the new generation reboot by TV's J.J. Abrams, is a pretty incredible sci-fi movie on its own. But throw in an extra 20% of screen real estate and 16-channel surround sound from IMAX, and you've got a summer action party!
The film moves fast, the pace doesn't let up, and it creates characters new audiences can love, while incorporating most of the signature personality quirks of the venerated 1960s TV originals. The fresh-faced cast is standout, with Heroes villain Zachary Quinto making an outstanding Spock. Here's to more voyages in the future!
