All the angst we've been feeling progressively for the past 8 years is illustrated and explained in 2 hours of the brutal truth. My friend and I were surprised by the sympathy we felt for this man who was obviously so out of his league and yet stubbornly led us all down this road to our present situation. This artful film had us talking about it long afterward, and hoping this election will not provide similar results to regret.
From beginning to end, I had a broad smile on my face. I was expecting the worst, since our metro newspapers reviewed it so badly, but I wanted to see anything "ABBA",so I went. Anyone who can't see this as a romp, a rollicking couple of hours of fun, has lost the ability to relax and just enjoy life. Meryl Streep and the rest of the cast must have had so much fun making this film! So what if Pierce Brosnan is not a professional singer; he's so attractive and alive that he carries it off anyway. Come on, folks, this is a really good summertime entertainment. Loosen up!!!!
