Heath Ledger is by far the best part of this movie. His performance was no holds barred, fearless, frighteningly brilliant. Unfortunately the plot zigs and zags incoherently, relying on tech effects and stunts to move the story forward, and the violence was way over the top (appropriate in a comic, but how the heck they managed to get away with a PG-13 rating for this live action flick is beyond me. This is definitely NOT for kids under 13.). Too bad Christopher Nolan didn't bring the rest of the movie up to Heath Ledger's level.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
