What a Batman film should be! This is not a film made for children, it is violent, dark and scary. While the Joker is on screen, don't expect jokes, you'll feel uncomfortable at best. His opening Magic trick is the closest you'll get to a joke.
If you have kids and they want to see the film. Please go and review it first before you take them to see it. The film is rated PG-13 for a reason. Just because it is based on a Comic Book doesn't mean that it is targeted toward young children. The Batman comic hasn't been geared toward children since the 50's anyway. This is an adult orientated film. The best I've heard so far is SAW meets Batman.
