The movie was filled with layers of parallels with questions we ask about current social issues and morality. The movie had moments of fantasy, super-heroism, but overall, Gotham felt too much like NYC. I would have liked to see Gotham a bit more fictional. The Joker and Two-Face were performed extremely well. Gordon was well cast. Gyllenhall is usually very good, but she was miscasted. Bale's intensity made up for the lack of dialogue in his character. The movie had great action sequences, but overall, the movie was slow. The editing from one scene to another was choppy at times. I enjoyed the movie overall, it was fun to escape into an adventure for 2 1/2 hours.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
