Cinematic Masterpiece

The Dark Knight, plain and simply, is a cinematic master piece that has just raised the bar and redefined it's genre. For the simple movie fan, the action and the pace of the film grab you from the beginning and never let go. For the intellectual movie viewer, the themes, issues, and thoughts raised by this film are deep and go beyond the humble comic bounds from which they originate. They raise the thoughts of he human experience, the questions of what are heroism and villainy, and what must the individual do for society.
With Brilliant directing, and absolutely unforgettable performances and action sequences, this film truly is one of the best films ever produced. Every actor from Bale to Ledger give performances that have been seldom captured on film, performance that make you forget that they are action. The Batman/Joker rivalry is is epic Christ vs the devil, and Ledger performance is one that is so unbelievable that it's a tragedy that such brilliance by him will never be seen again, and all the Oscar talk is not just fan hype, this performance was truly Oscar worthy.
All in all, Not only does the film entertain, it goes far beyond that and makes the viewer reflect on a larger scope. This movie has it all, from flipping an 18-wheeler, high speed chases in a Lamborghini and the ever cool Batpod, to classic heroism against pure, unchained evil, to fallen heroes, this film is a master piece of film worth every last bit of praise it receives.
