Fun with caveats

Let's just get this out of the way: Pierce Brosnan? Should NOT be allowed to sing. He's very pretty to look at, but singing & acting at the same time is NOT his forte. Everyone else was great and I was pleasantly suprised by Meryl Streep and her voice. The scene stealer in the movie is Julie Walters who brings enthusiasm and fun to every movement and line. The large ensemble scenes are the best things of the movie, but as a whole? Mamma Mia is just not at the top of the movie musical mountain.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
