The 3 stars rating is more for lifetime achievement and not caving and making a really cheesy flick as most are these days. The acting was great, though some of the Mulder-Scully dialog was badly written I thought. Some really interesting premises and characters, the pedophile priest turned psychic for example, that could have been way more developed. All things considered, Chris Carter stayed true to form: he didn't try to make the movie into something else, it was unmistakenly X-files, predictably with less suspense and intrigue than the mid 90's version. Worth watching for the true fan, as a bonus there is a 2 headed dog, a funny 'current events moment', and oh yeah I almost forgot: AT LEAST WILL FARRELL ISN'T IN IT!!! Whoo HOO.
