Sort of a let-down

It seemed to me that the creators of the movie tried so hard to make a movie that was really 'AWESOME' and in doing so, forgot to make a movie that was actually any good. The story is not very good and is full of plot holes. The action, which could have made up for the bad story, basically consisted of marines shooting at dust clouds that sometimes revealed the giant robots inside. There were a couple of good robot on robot fights but on the whole, the fight scenes were either too short, or just consisted of something blowing up. The original cast of robots didn't have nearly enough screen time, and even the new robots didn't appear very much. The IMAX experience was very cool, but the movie itself was not very good.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
