Very good..but falls a little short

Let me start off by saying I am a huge fan of the Twilight Saga books....as most of you are.
Eclipse is my favorite book in the series, so I had very high expectations for this movie. That said...the movie was very good..but still fell a little short of my expectations. Most of my problems with the movie revolve around the fact that I just don't think Kristen Stewart is a very good actress . She is emotionless, in a role that calls for a LOT of emotion. If she had the acting ability of Ashley Greene or Nikki Reed, the movie(s) would have been much better.(Dakota Fanning was not much better in her role either in this movie) I'm not sure of the reason why Bryce Dallas Howard took over the role of Victoria, but it was unnecessary for the 10 actual minutes of screen time she got in this movie) Also, the movies just seem rushed...especially Eclipse. I think splitting the final movie into two parts may turn out to be the smarted thing they have done yet. I wanted more time on the back-stories for each character.
Ok, with the bad stuff out of the way...let's move on to the GOOD stuff. As I said, I did enjoy the movie and it was very good. It was good to see secondary characters SHINE in this movie the way they did...especially Jackson Rathbone(Jasper)...but also Nikki Reed(Rosalie) and even Billy Burke (Charlie Swan) were great. Ashley Greene is always on target too.
The "tent scene" was the best of the movie...great chemistry between Pattinson and Lautner on their back and forth sequence in the tent . Overall...a very good movie.....faults and all...for fans of the books. It might not bring in "new" fans...but true fans of the books and movie...aren't really concerned about that. We know that WE like it...and that's really all that matters. See it.....enjoy it.....and get ready for the next two movies !!
