I LOVED it!!! I really enjoyed the humor and romance of this one. While it wasn't true to all elements of the book (but what movie adapted from a book ever is) it did set us up nicely for the final 2 movies. I saw it twice and loved it just as much the second time!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

As a fan of the show and the first movie, I had high expectations for the second X-Files film and was sadly disappointed! Overall, the story and characterizations were very weak and a lot of time was spent on side stories like Mulder and Scully's relationship and Scully's battle over her decision to treat a young patient. I felt the movie as a whole was disjointed and we were left hanging by a lack of some important details. I also didn't think the case being investigated should be considered an X-File. I think Grissom's CSI team could have solved it just as quickly.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
