This was my second time seeing this movie and it was very helpful to see it twice as many things that I missed in the first almost frantic viewing made much more sense. What I took away the second time is how much angrier Batman is in this movie. He almost loses control, even though severely provoked, several times which is surprising. He is not so much moody as he is just rage-filled. What made it more disturbing the second time is, now that you know the plot, you see the deliberate manipulations of the Joker. Heath Ledger's performance is truly amazing but so disturbing in its randomless need for chaos. I loved this movie and seeing it twice made plot points so clear. However, I was unprepared for the thought-provoking aftermath. I highly recommend this movie but you may be surprised as an adult how it will make you think. This Is Not a Childrens Movie. It is too dark and while the violence is often times inferred rather that shown it shows the dark side of all the characters.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
