Heath Lefger IS this film.

I have to start off with saying again that Heath Ledger WAS this movie. Without Heath's acting I don't think this movie would've done very well. The story was mediocre, in my opinion, it didn't grab me. The cinematography and sound were good. I found myself yawning in all the scenes in which the Joker was not present, though. They could've edited out another 20 minutes of footage as well. The bright spots, for me, were Ledger, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine. Maggie, Aaron, and Christian I could've done completely without. Especially Aaron Eckhart. I love the guy as an actor but I couldn't absorb him as Harvey Dent or Two-Face, although Dent was a little more tolerable. I'd give the acting for Ledger an A+. The other three I enjoyed I'd give an A-. Everyone else falls around a C+/D- range in the acting category.
P.S. I can't stand the way Christian Bale gravels his voice when he's Batman. It seems so labored and artificial. I've heard this opinion from many, many others as well.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
