Not the Musical

If you're a huge fan of the musical you may be underwhelmed by this rather cheesy screen adaptation where big names versus singing talent were chosen for key movie roles.
Who doesn't like Meryle Streep or Pierce Brosnan? But musical stars they are not! Nor are they a romantic match made in heaven ala Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks or Kate Hudson and Mathew McConaughey.
Still - I'm glad I saw it.
Poor Pierce. You actually feel sorry for him when his singing parts come up.
