Skip this poor substitute for the original French version "The dinner game". While I love all the actors in this American version this film was all over the place. No finesse, no surprises and only a few chuckles at best.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Finally a solid comedy!

I approached this movie as I have so many comedies in the past, with hope, trepidation and resolution. Resolution that once again I'd be wasting yet another 1-2 hours of my life with maybe 2-3 very funny jokes and the rest fuller.
This movie breaks all the molds, unique humor, funny from beginning to end and lovable characters throughout. You are rooting for their marriage, his quest, their friendship, everything, all the while crying tears of joy at each misstep, each cleverly placed joke, each unexpected turn. In short, Hollywood would do well to learn from this comedy and provide it's hungry fans with more of the same.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
