Lived Up to the Hype

The movie delivered exactly what was expected of it. Beautiful CGI and affects, with lot's and lot's of action. The plot, while not going to win any Oscars, was better than what I went in anticipating, moment's of humor, good pacing (minus a bit of a lag towards the end of act 2), and lots of little details that anyone who grew up watching the cartoons are going to appreciate. Saw it on IMAX and was completly blown away. Agree with the parents who said this isn't something you take kids to, but seeing as it's PG-13 I'd think that's to be expected.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
