I loved the X-files. I loved the relationship between Mulder and Scully. I didn't LOVE this movie. I pre-purchased tickets online for the mindnight showing after anticipating another movie since the last one came out. I felt this it was only good. I didn't expect anything spectacular but for being away for so long I guess I was expecting a little more. I cannot say it was not good; I am after all an X-files fan. However the movie seem more like just an extended version of a weekly episode. I always thought of myself as a die-hard fan even going as far as watching all the shipper media out there. David and Gillian still have the same relationship dynamic they always had, but it just wasn't exciting. Maybe it's just me. I hope others feel much more excited about it than I do. I'm on the fence about whether or not they should do another movie. Maybe so, but bring the mytharc back in. I think it was the depth of the conspiracy and the growing sexual tension that kept us on our toes all those years. Please, I hope you enjoy the movie more than I did because I truly love the X-files and will never stop being interested.
