Great, but left me flat in the end

Heath Ledger stole the show with this performance. I thought no one could outdo Jack Nicholson as the Joker, but how wrong was I on that. Bale's Batman paled in comparison to the diabolical, psycopathic, Joker. AMAZING! Special affects (Two-Face is atrociously terrific), new fiendish ways to kill and to strike fear in the hearts of Gotham citizens. The movie had me on the edge of my seat, until the end. I usually feel at the end of the movie, a sense of completion or a sense of I can't wait to see the next movie. But, with the breaking of the Batman signal it just left me just that broken without a sense of completion or anxious to see the next film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
