Technical and Storytelling Masterpiece

See it in the IMAX version if you can. The large screen makes you believe that you are actually on the top of skyscrapers looking down on the city below. In addition to being visually stunning, this movie has amazing surround sound that will rattle through your bones.
As far as the story, it is not the same old superficial comic book fluff that we see every summer. It has a complexity to it that is usually reserved for the dramas released in the fall and winter.
Heath Ledger is amazing in every respect as the Joker. Notice how he uses his tongue and mouth as he speaks (what else would you expect from a psycho with a scarred mouth). Very creepy and sinister performance, but also intelligent and restrained.
The Dark Knight is a great way to spend 2 1/2 hours. Well worth the time and money.
