Don't believe the hype. This movie is an overlong ,overated, nihilistic piece of crap with a very disturbing set of underlying messages (i.e.: the public needs to be lied to, people can't handle truth, scapegoats are necessary, illegal spying on citizens is ok if it's for "the common good", and many more). Heath Ledger was good and he is the only thing that saves this movie. His character was the most "honest" character in the movie, while our supposed heroes came across as a bunch of impotent, incompetent, hypocrites whose over self-righteousness basically brought this blowback upon themselves.
