Absolutely the best action movie of all time. So many times movies fail to meet the hype generated before their opening (Spiderman 3). This movie smashed through every expectation I had. Everyone did a fantastic job in this movie. Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman don't get the accolades they deserve, they were both brilliant. Eckhart plays a great Harvey Dent and Maggie G acts circles around Katie Holmes. Christian Bale is kind of a conundrum, while I think he plays the best Bruce Wayne of all the actors before him, his "Batman voice" annoys me at times. Sounds like he has a lisp when he says certain things. But Heath Ledger steals the show. His portrayal of the Joker isn't cartoony or corny, it completely terrifying. A demented, psychopathic Joker is what the franchise needed and it got it in spades. Its such a shame he is gone. His performance demands the oscar, its just that good.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
