Terrible Waste of Money!

I'm really shocked that other reviewers raved about this remake - it was one of the worst movies I've ever had the misfortune of seeing. The plot was thin to transparent, gory yes, but so completely boring that I almost fell asleep 4 times - in a horror movie! I like Jackie Earl Hallie as an actor, but this portrayal of Freddie pales in comparison to Robert Englund's original. The old Freddie was not only scary, but funny as hell and entertaining, and so were the other characters. This new cast, including Freddy, are boring and humorless. If you haven't seen the original 6 movies, you may think this is a mildly ok movie, but if you have, you'll be jumping out of your skin to get out of your seat and leave the theater. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY - HORRIBLE
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie was unbelievably impressive! It told a tale of family dynamics and the importance of being good to people. Robin Givens was on point in this movie - an excellent role-model for women. Cathy Bates and Alfre Woodard made you cry and Sanaa Lathan made you wanna scream, along w/ her clueless, but good-hearted husband. Cole Hauser's fine self gave an excellent performance. TAKE EVERYONE TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!
