it is true what they said that this movie has nothing to do with the mythology of the x-files so please keep that in mind when you watch it. however, this movie was made for the fans. it is not the best movie ever and there are x-files tv shows that are more entertaining, but it certainly is not boring or disappointing. you see an older version of scully and mulder and how their lives have changed. it's the usual set up of mulder going in head first and scully coming to rescue him and believe him for half a second then refuse to believe what she saw or felt for a moment. as far as people saying scully changed, it is true she is more like her character in season 3 but think about it, after leaving the x-files for so long and being put back into a more religious/scientific environment, she doesn't see strange things every week and that might have changed her. there are some questions left unanswered in the movie - but i guess that is what makes it an x-files movie.
