Whether you're a fan or not this is the last glimpse into a creative genius who was a great loss to the planet. This film shows you what his last concerts in London could have been like which is nothing short of amazing. The film is produced well, looks pretty good and sounds great! The music and MJ's performances are enthralling as well as the dancers and the visual extravaganza.
This was an unusual approach to a Sci-Fi or "futuristic" movie to be sure and hence there was entertainment to be had. I thoroughly enjoyed this film especially as it was ratcheting up the tension and coming around to a looking more and more like a great Sci-Fi flick. So, it's easy to criticize, but I just wish it was made by a more mature filmmaker like James Cameron or Ridley Scott or Peter Jackson himself (a producer on the film) and would have achieved greater depth. The visual effects and concepts underlying the movie were impressive. The "no nonsense" documentary approach was a clever concept. It is what it is. It was a low-budget effort (30 mil) buy a fresh filmmaker and for that it was impressive and entertaining.
