Never read the book or comics or whatever it is, but I also never read X-Men either and I loved that movie. Total waste of time. Hard to take Dr. Manhatten serious with his blue penis hanging out almost everytime they showed him. Most people were even laughing at it when it wasn't even supposed to be funny. Special effects were cool, but not worth checking your watch every 2 minutes praying that the movie would end. Saw alot of people leaving the movie early and the people around me were also checking their watches. Wish I could get those 2hrs and 143 min back. I love superhero flicks, but this was a bomb. Save your money and watch it when they show the movie on Sci-Fi channel.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Great movie. I loved batman begins and this blew it away. A 2 and a half hour movie and I was hoping it wouldn't end. Had everything. Heath Ledger lived up to the hype. Will not be dissapointed. Can't wait to see it again.
