What a treat to see the film in a theater ... it's a perfect film in all respects. One of the reviews made comment about the projection quality itself - I'm no expert, but I was slightly disappointed in the quality. And with the preview material up front, there were sound issues - an echo. Not sure the projection was the best, but who can complain when it's Casablanca.
An epic-sized story - big ideas: loyalty, love, greed, betrayal, and the Aborigine ...
The film itself didn't always have focus, but the delightful acting of Kidman and Jackman - the story itself ... and the real star - the little boy - made it an enjoyable post-Thanksgiving Dinner experience. I was never bored - and was surprised when it ended ... which, by the way, would lead into a marvelous sequel ...
Lots of great things - not stitched together too well, but definitely worth seeing, especially for Americans to see some of the world through other eyes.
Awesome in all regards. Everyone does an incredible job - great balance between action and story (amazing story) - Heath Ledger has set the standard - what an amazing interpretation of the Joker. This is a must-see film.
