It's hard to avoid spoilers so I'll say this much: Watching this movie, it was hard to not confuse it with a Pixar film. That's right -- this is by Disney Prime.
The cameos by various video game characters and elements are fun to watch for. The voice acting was really solid, and I was happy to see that they got some genuine voice actors (Jim Cummings, Debi Derryberry, etc) to accompany the Hollywood talent.
The fact this wasn't a standard-fare "lead character falls in love and gets the girl" story really sets it apart from other movies.
I recommend it for all ages despite the PG rating -- as long as you're okay with your kids seeing the occasional alien-bug getting shot by lasers. (There's no blood.)
Pros well paced, great story
