need a fun movie

Mamma Mia was just plain fun...
i have to admit i don't know if i would have bothered even seeing it had it not been for Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan... or if i hadn't seen Pierce Brosnan and a clip of the movie on Jon Stewart, which was just too funny.
Don't get me wrong, think Abba songs are kitchy and fun and loved Muriel's Wedding, sang along to ever Abba song in that movie too... but live in NYC and haven't ever even wanted to see the musical... so i was truly pleased with how enjoyable the movie was...
as always Christine Baranski and Julie Waters were wonderful... And i would so love to grow up to be the kind of woman Meryl Streep plays so well... the one who can say "... not hundreds of men".
They all shined!... so enjoyed myself...
though must also admit at times the scenery was so breathtaking i had trouble concentrating on what was going on in the show...
so if you need to escape the heat wave, if you need something to take your mind off things, if you need to just escape the pressures of the day, to not take too something too seriously but just to enjoy... this is the movie to see.
